It's just a PR shot. Maybe they had to keep the wires disconnected to get the spacing of the guys arms that they wanted for the shot, I dunno. At any rate, it is not a foreshadowing of a wireless chuck. I don't think I'd want a wireless chuck anyway, as that's just two more batteries to deal with (and they'd have to make it bigger to accommodate those batteries).
