Two reasons why I’m posting this. I’m prepping for the next post I’m about to make, and I was a Sega fan before I was a Nintendo fan (despite my family owning an Atari 2600 and 2 NESs before I ever got my Game Gear).
A DigiPen employee is saying Sega Saturn games will be added soon to the Wii’s virtual console. Hit the link below to read the details as to why the source may be credible. Technically speaking, is it doable? Saturn games came on CDs, didn’t they? Well, FMV videos aside, most Saturn games aren’t much larger than N64 games, if at all. As for all those videos, modern compressional techniques should be able to shrink those videos down to size.
Sega has also been heavily supporting the Wii’s Virtual Console, so I don’t doubt that they’d love to make more money, especially off such a legendary and rare console’s games.
