Ready for a trip back to East High? GoNintendo has some juicy info about the upcoming High School Musical game, which isn’t just for the Wii, but now for the DS as well!

The Wii game will be a karaoke game allowing players to sing along through the story of the original High School Musical either as a solo or a duet. Apparently the screen will accompany with dances that originally motion-captured during the movie’s production. Personally, I’m looking forward to “Bop to the Top,” just because I loved that song. In addition to the first HSM, players will be able to sing along to songs from the upcoming High School Musical 2 and even songs from other Disney Channel stars. While not confirmed songs, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Everlife’s “Find Yourself In You,” Hannah Montana’s “Best of Both Worlds,” and the Jonas Brothers’ “Year 3000.” I can hope, can’t I?

For the DS game, players will play as one of HSM’s six characters or as a custom character as they travel in a music competition across America. You’ll dance and play (somehow) to win said competition, before you compete with your own friends! In fact, you’ll be able to make your own dance videos, which you can also share wirelessly.
