I loved SimCity 3000. I remember sitting in school when they were handing out the Scholastic Club orders that just arrived. Every else ordered books from Scholastic Club, but at the time I didn’t care much for that and always went to the computer software section (BUT I love books now – so all you younguns, make sure you’re reading a lot).

I had enjoyed SimCity 2000 for years, and 3000 was just awe-inspiring when I popped it in for the first time. The DS game, which has been out in Japan, will be arriving Stateside this summer. Apparently it’s SimCity 3000 with added features – you play god as you blow into the microphone to blow out city fires, things like that.
