Microsoft commends Nintendo, plans own new strategy
In a recent interview with GameInformer, Microsoft’s Peter Moore gave the following comments:
From a first-party point of view, it’s not just about E-rated games, it’s going to be about the experience that, quite frankly, Nintendo has done a tremendous job in capturing, in bringing back fun—if you will—to the gaming platforms.
In the rest of the interview, Moore goes on very briefly to talk about how they’ve got several plans in order to have a similar impact on the industry this year as Nintendo has done with the Wii. In Microsoft rethinking its 360 strategy and using the Wii as a model? Is a motion-sensitive controller inevitable for the 360’s future? It’s clear Nintendo’s made an impact with the Wii - the Wii is, afterall, the Revolution.
