One blogger makes the point that while the Wii’s ability to translate physical movement into gameplay can be harnessed into a exercise program, the general motions made while playing the Wii aren’t really going to help you in any significant way. In order for any real difference to be made, you have to specifically plan your gaming sessions out as workout sessions, which actually isn’t an easy task and not one that most people are willing to do.
Granted, the Wii is still better for you than just sitting motionless and tapping your thumbs around, so don’t be too discouraged.
