GWN is reporting that there is a rumor Harmonix will be bringing Guitar Hero to the Wii, despite our reporting that Guitar Hero has switched developers and that Guitar Hero is indeed coming to the Wii within the 2008 fiscal year.
However, the interview with the game’s original developer, Harmonix reveals that the company loves the Wii and that they share a similar philosophy as Nintendo. Harmonix COO Mike Dornbrook gave the following answer when asked if a music game from Harmonix would come to the Wii:
“We’re excited about the Wii. I think you can expect to see something come up at some point. When we first saw the announcement of the Wii, we were impressed that Nintendo was willing to take that kind of a risk that obviously could really pay off for them.”
I’d love to see other music games from the company. But I’m just big on music, so I don’t know about the rest of you.
