I’m sure most of you remember when I reported Force Unleashed for the DS, the game was announced for pretty much every platform…except the Wii.
When LucasArts was pressed for commentary, they said that even though the Wii was not included in the announcement, that doesn’t mean the Wii won’t receive the game eventually. However, they did make a point to confirm that if the game did come to the Wii, it won’t be the amazing lightsaber game we all envisioned when the Wii remote was revealed in September of 2005.
My assumption is that LucasArts is still testing and evaluating their options with the Wii. As many know, LucasArts moved their focus away from the GameCube, so it’s likely they’re being cautious with the Wii. There is no doubt, though, that they’re aware of the Wii’s popularity and are considering some kind of game in the future.
