I know many of you are counting down to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl’s April release. I was going to join you, but seeing as my Pokémon games are made up of only Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald, I think I’ll hold out a little while longer and wait for the third game. Any guesses as to what it will be called?
CoroCoro magazine sheds some light on D/P’s Wi-Fi gameplay, apparently more advanced than we thought. An underground area will be used for both Wi-Fi and wireless multiplayer battles. This underground area just happens to be the primary location for finding Pokémon fossils, and you and a friend can wander the region together to find Pokémon. Your secret bases will be down here as well, where you and your friend can play capture the flag. Aside from this underground area, Battle Tower now has a Global WiFi Room, where users can both battle and trade Pokémon.
