According to Siliconera, developer Mistwalker is going to be paying close attention how well its Blue Dragon game does when it arrives to Xbox 360 owners in the United States. It was one of the shining moments for the 360 in Japan, and according to rumors, if the the game does well in the states, DS owers might have reason to care.
If the game does well here, Mistwalker will consider working on a Blue Dragon project for the Nintendo DS, in order to take advantage of its massive userbase. There is no information yet as to whether such a game would be the same game, a sequel, or a spinoff. We probably won’t know until such a project is officially announced as underway, and that probably won’t be until we have a clear picture as to how the game does in the United States.
