Why Nintendo’s online service works for Japan…but nowhere else

Nintendo Forums NSider “SidePocket” has written up a post explaining why the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is the way it is. Essentially, it’s the system that most pleases the Japanese gaming public. However, as we all know, not many other regions are too pleased with it.

Main Points

  • The Japanese don’t like gaming and talking simultaneously.
  • Friend Codes work better in a smaller place like Japan.
  • Japan prefers free, accessible online play.
