Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party exclusive to Wii

Ever watch someone play DDR, and realize it doesn’t really look like dancing? It’s more like shuffling feet to the music, and a lot of people just hold their hands at their sides. The only good dances I’ve seen that allow that are Irish dances…

Well, DDR is coming to the Wii, and it’s more unique than ever! At Konami’s Gamers Day, Konami announced and showed off a playable version of their 2007 release of Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party for the Wii. The game not only uses the usual 4 way dance pad, but you move the Wii remote and nunchuk around in space as well! Maybe we’ll see some DDR players look like they’re actually dancing!

The game will feature hits spanning four decades of music, and supposedly it will be an entirely new soundtrack compared to existing DDR games. Remember, you’ll be stomping those arrows and waving your Wii remote and nunchuk around before the end of the year!

I can’t wait for this. It’s weird how 360 and Wii has DDR, but the ps3 doesn’t. hm…
