Pretty sure this is why Game Boys were banned in my elementary school back in the day. According to 4colorrebellion, Animal Crossing has been forbidden in school. Apparently, kids in the computer labs were supposed to be listening to teachers talk, but it turns out they were using the computers in front of them (*gasp*) to look up hints and tips for Animal Crossing. The school went and announced on the PA system that it was forbidden.
For those who don’t know, 4cr’s Vinnk teaches English at a Japanese school, so he’s the one from 4cr always talking about how his students always want to play his DS (and shun his PSP) during their free time, and he’s the one taking all the pics of the cute kids playing games.
Anyway, kids wasting time in their school computer labs is really nothing new, anywhere in the world, so it’s a little surprising that it’s now specifically Animal Crossing that’s been banned from one school…coincidentally, the one where a 4cr staffer works.
