Negativeworldone.com has written up an funny little response to Sony’s comment about the Wii being an impulse buy. Check it out:

Nintendo to Sony: “At least people owning the Wii can get some.”

Nintendo, refuting claims made by Sony on Wednesday that “Wii could be considered an impulse buy more than anything else”, said that, unlike the Playstation 3, the Nintendo Wii is owned by a number of popular celebrities and all around socially acceptable people, all of whom can “get some if they want.”

“At this point, the only people buying the Playstation 3 are the hardcore gamer, single, adult males. They’re the only ones who can afford it, not having to pay for wives and girlfriends,” said Leah Swindon, a publicist for Nintendo of America.

“The only action these guys are getting is from Resistance: Fall of Man. They can’t even get action from the six-axis controller because they don’t vibrate anymore.”

Nintendo also pointed out that many popular celebrities such as Steven Spielberg, Paris Hilton, and Dwayne Wade have publicly expressed their support in the Nintendo Wii.

“Just the other day, Jesus’ Mii came into my system through WiiConnect 24, so obviously he’s playing,” Swindon added. “I mean if the Son of God is playing Wii, then obviously we’ve won the console wars.”

Sony representatives were not available for comment.
