Majesco announces Toon-Doku for the DS

Majesco recently announced Toon-Doku for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Dragon’s Den Unlimited, this puzzle game adds images and multiplayer to the popular numbers pastime. Toon-Doku will offer traditional number-based Sudoku puzzles, but in addition it will feature fun, cartoon picture-based puzzles. Toon-Doku is scheduled to be released in April 2007.

Sudoku with a difference

“Toon-Doku is the answer for Sudoku fans looking for something different and younger players looking for a less intimidating puzzler,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing at Majesco Entertainment. “The combination of pictures and unique multi-player features adds several new dimensions to one of today’s most popular brain games. Of course, Toon-Doku also includes number-based play, so fans can enjoy ‘Doku’ the traditional way as well.”

In Toon-Doku gamers can place over 250 different images on the board in order to complete the puzzle. If you are creative you will enjoy the games Edit Mode, which allows players to create their own customised pieces for play alternatively to trade with others. The game also includes three multiplayer modes along with a Distraction System which allows players to attempt to foil their opponent’s progress in competitive matches by blocking portions of their opponent’s boards.
