With the News Channel scheduled to go live on January 27, Nintendo has chosen to go with the Associated Press to provide news stories and photos to Wii owners. The channel will use an interactive map allowing users to select whether they want to focus on regional, national, or international news. Perrin Kaplan, Nintendo’s VP of Marketing, has said Nintendo has no plans to sell advertising space on the channel.
