Newer, more advanced Wii download service coming?

Aussie-Nintendo reports that Hudson’s Director of Marketing, John Lee, was asked if original content would come to the VC. Mr. Lee answered the question by hinting at a different, new downloading service from Nintendo, one specifically for new, original content, and games with online-play enabled.

Nintendo hasn’t officially launched their online gaming network for the Wii. Do they have an ace up their sleeve that none of us have ever expected? Will Xbox Live see some real competition? Could Nintendo ACTUALLY know what they’re doing when it comes to online on the Wii?

This would make sense, especially with the eariler announcement of line rider coming to the wii.

Common sense tells me Line Rider won’t be the only non-retro game released….

Oh, and it would be fabulous if Nintendo had something that rivals xbox live. It would definitely put an end to the endless bashing by the media
