Twilight Princess nabs six AIAS nominations
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has nabbed six nominations for the AIAS awards, to be announced February 8. The six categories include Action/Adventure Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Outstanding Achievement in Game Play Engineering, Outstanding Achievement in Story and Character Development, Console Game of the Year, and Overall Game of the Year.
Twilight Princess will be competing for overall Game of the Year against WiiSports, Gears of War, Guitar Hero II, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Tough competition, to be sure.
Other nominations include WiiSports for Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Outstanding Achievement in Game Play Engineering, Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, Console Game of the Year, and Overall Game of the Year, Brain Age for Family Game of the Year, Handheld Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, and Oustanding Innovation in Gaming, Rayman Raving Rabidds for Family Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Excite Truck for Racing Game of the Year, Final Fantasy III DS for Role-Playing Game of the Year, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team for Children’s Game of the Year, Elite Beat Agents for Handheld Game of the Year, and New Super Mario Bros. for Handheld Game of the Year.
