Rumor: Metroid in Q2, Mario in Q4 2007

GameDrift is reporting that a Nintendo representative has anonymously informed him that Super Mario Galaxy probably won’t hit store shelves in the spring as planned. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption seems to be on track for a second quarter release, making it the first console Metroid Prime game not released on November 18. Supposedly, Corruption will be Nintendo’s first Wi-Fi enabled title for the Wii, despite the online infrastructure having been up and ready to go for quite some time now. All of these news bits are RUMORS and should be treated as so until further official word comes out.

GameDrift also notes that if the Super Mario Galaxy date has been pushed back as the rumor states, it may come close to coinciding with the release of the third installment of a famous Xbox franchise, arriving on the 360 later this year.
