Kellan Stover, from the Metroid Prime 2DÂ fan project is attempting to do to Metroid Prime what Daniel Barras is doing for Ocarina of Time. Here’s what Kellan had to say:
We all loved Metroid Prime (most of us) and I have cherished it to this day. But a while after playing it, I thought of something. Prime was different than all the other Metroid games because of its perspective. What would it have been like as a 2D sidescroller like the rest of them?
This should be interesting to see once it’s near completion. As many of you know, Metroid Prime was widely held in high regard, as it currently ranks #3 all-time on Game Rankings. How will the 2D fan remake hold up? Hopefully the project lives long enough for us to find out.
