IGN: Sonic and the Secret Rings – hands on

I’m really looking forward to Sonic and the Secret Rings. I started out a Sega and Sonic fan, and despite the series’ downward spiral in recent years, I’ve stuck with the Blue Blur through the years, and word is that this game may very well be the best shot yet at returning the series to its former glory.

IGN’s Micah Seff has been fortunate enough to have been invited by Sega to try out Sonic and the Secret Rings, and all signs point to the game living up to its potential. Apparently the game controls extremely well, the level designs are genius (and beautiful), moves are easier than ever to execute, the game is simply fun, and – get this – the camera doesn’t pose a problem in this 3D Sonic game. That has to be a good omen right there.

Head on over and read Micah’s impressions of what I assume is the near-final build of Sonic and the Secret Rings. This game can’t come soon enough.
