Wii and DS rock European sales charts

Gamasutra is reporting that Nintendo of Europe has confirmed the following figures. In the UK alone, 200,000 Wii units and 500,000 Nintendo DS units were sold in the month of December. Across all of Europe, 700,000 Wii units and 1.7 million DS units were sold in December, eclipsing even the 1.6 million DS units sold in the United States in December. In addition, 500,000 copies of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii were sold, exhibiting an attach rate of over 70%.
