Mitch over at 4 color rebellion has written a wonderful letter summarizing the collective views and wishes of Nintendo fans in hopes that Nintendo will read and listen to what their following has to say about the Virtual Console. We’re all fans of Nintendo somewhat, and to keep the curse of fanboyism at bay a little bit, we’ve all gotta be realistic from time to time – while Nintendo often benefits (and at times, suffers from) Apple’s signature Halo Effect, they sure do a lot of things to feed their most loyal fans a nice knuckle sandwich. That’s why we’re beginning a new segment, Dear Nintendo – a Dear John (or, John Dear?) for the Big N. We’re doing it in the hopes that, maybe – just, maybe – Nintendo will hear our cries, and actually do something about it.
Think of this as our collective letter to our friend, Nintendo. It’s tough love, but, love all the same.
